The facade panels are inspired by a 3D scan of the brain, which shows a colourful representation of brain activity. The design is based on a general pattern created by an AI-generated model, with the shapes of synapses and neurons serving as inspiration. This idea was developed as part of a design tool created to support collaboration between humans and AI. The project is Sven Jonischkies’ realisation of PhD research, guided by Norman Hack and Harald Kloft at ITE on TU Braunschweig—technology and production in partnership with BnB Potsdam and ODICO.
